In the face of new hacker attacks on WordPress sites, it has become increasingly important to be sure that WordPress, as well as plugins and themes, are kept up-to-date.
Most successful hacking attempts exploit security holes in outdated themes and plugins. When developers update WordPress or any of it’s themes or plugins, they patch security issues. As new security holes are found, new versions of the software are written and distributed.
To make this easier for our clients, we have decided to include monthly updating in both our monthly and yearly web hosting products at no additional cost to you.
The first set of updates under this new policy were done today.
For those of you running multiple websites on one Orange Cat web hosting account, all of the related websites are covered by this new policy.
If you have an account with us that is hosted by HostGator, InMotion or any other hosting company, we would be happy to add you to the automatic update program for $175 per year (Contact us for more information). Or, you can switch to our hosting and get the update service included.
For those of you running multiple websites on one Orange Cat web hosting account, all related websites on the account are covered by this new policy.
